Boston
Departing from Rowes Wharf, Odyssey cruises along Historic Boston Harbor from Castle Island to George's Island, then east to the Boston Light on Little Brewster Island, and back north to Charlestown Naval Yard before returning to the Wharf. Cruise Route may vary depending on weather.

Historic Boston Harbor

1. USS Constitution and Charlestown Naval Yard
Home to the USS Constitution, "Old Ironsides", the U.S. Navy's oldest commissioned warship and the USS Casin Young, World War II Naval Destroyer, the Naval Yard includes the USS Constitution Museum.

2. The Seaport District
Home to the World Trade Center, Boston Fish Pier, the new Federal Courthouse and the Harborlights Pavilion, this area is an example of the revitalization efforts, which continue on the Boston Harbor front.

3. Castle Island
Home to Fort Independence, this island is recognized as the oldest most continuously used military fortification in the United States.

4. Spectacle Island
Originally two small islands joined by a sandbar, the island's name is presumably derived from its resemblance to a pair of spectacles. Years of erosion and landfill have altered the island's shape.

5. Deer Island
Once the island home of a population of deer, and later the Harbor Entrance Command Post during World War II, this island is now the site of the M.W.R.A's primary wastewater treatment plant.

6. Lovell's Island
Home to Fort Standish and a secret tunnel, which served as an elaborate submarine defense system after the Civil War. Tales of the island include buried treasures and the saga of lover's rock.

7. Peddocks Island
During World War II over 1,000 Italian prisoners of war were held on the island at Fort Andrew.

8. Gallops Island
Thought to be one of the three possible islands to have the hidden treasure of Captain Kidd. During the Civil War, 3,000 soldiers encamped on the Island. In 1916 an immigration station was added and just prior to World War II, the U.S. Maritime established a radio school on the island.

9. George's Island
With a long history of military service, the island is now a National Historic Landmark. Visitors to Fort Warren have claimed sightings of the island's legendary ghost, "The Lady in Black."

10. Boston Light on Little Brewster Island
Erected in 1716 to guide incoming ships, the Boston Light was destroyed by British forces in March of 1776. In 1783 Massachusetts replaced the structure with an exact replica, the 90 foot structure which stands today.

The Odyssey then heads back inbound and cruises along the breathtaking Boston skyline offering unmatched views of Boston's most famous architecture: South Station Tower, John Hancock Tower, Prudential Tower, Federal Reserve Bank Building, One Boston Place and many more.
